Complete majority of course work:

By end of Winter term in 1st<\/sup> year<\/td><\/tr>
Annual Review of Graduate Students (ARGS); this an evaluation of your progress in the program (CV required)<\/td>End of Winter term in 1st<\/sup> year<\/td><\/tr>
Work on thesis prospectus (proposal) in consultation with Thesis Advisor<\/td>Summer between 1st<\/sup> and 2nd<\/sup> year and early Fall of 2nd<\/sup>year<\/td><\/tr>
Selection of a Thesis Committee (form required:  M.Cog.Sc. Supervisory Committee Approval Form)<\/a><\/td>No later than end of October in 2nd<\/sup> year<\/td><\/tr>
Defend thesis prospectus (proposal) form by Graduate Administrator 2 weeks beforehand; form M.Cog.Sc. Prospectus Defence Approval Form)<\/a><\/td>No later than end of October of 2nd<\/sup> year<\/td><\/tr>
Complete any remaining coursework<\/td>By April of 2nd<\/sup> year<\/td><\/tr>
Indicate intention to graduate<\/td>By February of 2nd<\/sup> year if intending to defend before May of 2nd<\/sup> year (June graduation) or by September if intending to defend before end of Summer Term of 2nd<\/sup> year (November graduation). Specific dates are set by FGPA.<\/td><\/tr>
Inform Graduate Administrator of intention to defend thesis (form required Thesis Defense Examination Approval Form<\/a>)<\/td>5 weeks prior to defence<\/td><\/tr>
Defend thesis (forms & thesis required 3 weeks beforehand;  Thesis Defense Examination Approval Form<\/a>)<\/td>No later than end of Summer Term in 2nd<\/sup> year. Specific date is set by FGPA and is usually in the early part of September.<\/td><\/tr>
Upload final pdf version of thesis to Graduate Studies<\/td>By last registration day in term following your final registration term.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
