As such there are now more opportunities than ever to research and apply behavioural insights without having to pursue a career in academia. This talk will discuss the different types of non-academic jobs\/careers in the behavioural sciences, with a special focus on those within government. We will also explore how non-academic jobs differ from academic jobs (both pros and cons), how to find non-academic opportunities, and what the application process may look like.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biography<\/strong>: Dhawal Selarka is a Senior Behavioural Scientist (specializing in quantitative methods) with the Impact and Innovation Unit (IIU) at the Privy Council Office. Since joining the government in 2019, Dhawal has worked to apply behavioural insights across numerous, and varying, policy areas, such as transportation safety, boating safety, public health, and misinformation\/disinformation.
