Having an AI do the writing endangers the critical thinking skills that learning to write (likely) teaches. In this talk I review the threat to formal education, evaluate some ideas out there, and suggest an onerous solution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biography:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Jim Davies is full professor and teaching mentor for the Department of Cognitive science and is on the AI in education task force at Carleton University.
