Come join the conversation about how to engage in community-campus work in an international context.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Producing videos with community partners<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Facilitated by <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityengagement\/people\/nicole-bedford\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Nicole Bedford<\/span><\/a>, (also Communications Director of the Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement Project), this discussion will focus on how to work collaboratively to tell community stories through film.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Carleton\u2019s new online Community Based Research toolkit<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Facilitated by\u00a0Tara McWhinney<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Created through the Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement research project, this bilingual toolkit (found at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cspsc\/research-toolkit-for-community-based-organizations-2\/\"><span class=\"s2\">https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cspsc\/research-toolkit-for-community-based-organizations-2\/<\/span><\/a>)\u00a0is intended for community organizations\u00a0<b>trying to decide if they want to conduct research<\/b>, and\u00a0<b>whether they should seek an academic partner<\/b>\u00a0to work with to conduct this research. This toolkit is designed as a project development checklist that acts as a\u00a0<b>guide for things to consider<\/b>\u00a0for community organizations conducting a research project. This workshop will discuss how to use the toolkit in the early stages of developing a community-based research project idea or community-campus partnership. The discussion will be of most value to community-based organizations, students and faculty new to community-based research.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Carleton\u2019s Online Portal for Community Engagement<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Carleton is starting to develop an online portal to enable community-campus connections.
