This year&#8217;s trainings will\u00a0feature renowned speakers,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/events.tamarackcommunity.ca\/c4c-halifax-speakers#John\" target=\"_blank\">John Kania<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/events.tamarackcommunity.ca\/c4c-halifax-speakers#Liz\" target=\"_blank\">Liz Weaver<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/events.tamarackcommunity.ca\/c4c-halifax-speakers#Paul\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Born<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/events.tamarackcommunity.ca\/c4c-halifax-speakers#Veronica\" target=\"_blank\">Veronica Borgonovi<\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/events.tamarackcommunity.ca\/c4c-halifax-speakers#Jennifer\" target=\"_blank\">Jennifer Splansky Juster<\/a> along with experienced facilitators in collective impact. <a href=\"http:\/\/events.tamarackcommunity.ca\/c4c-halifax-speakers\" target=\"_blank\">Learn more about the speakers here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Champions for Change: Leading a Backbone Organization for Collective Impact<\/em><\/strong> is a multi-day interactive workshop designed for staff playing the backbone role and steering committee members of collective impact initiatives, demonstrating or working to implement all five conditions of collective impact (common agenda, shared measurement, mutually reinforcing activities, continuous communication, and backbone support).<\/p>\n<p>The Tamarack Institute and The Collective Impact Forum have partnered to develop this dynamic learning experience to offer leaders of Backbone Organizations an advanced learning opportunity designed exclusively to develop their capacity as collaborative leaders. Participants of this learning event will explore topics such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clarifying the roles and leadership characteristics of the backbone organization<\/li>\n<li>Engaging the community in your initiative<\/li>\n<li>Fostering collaboration with funders, partners, and stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Developing and learning from shared measurement<\/li>\n<li>Evaluating collective impact<\/li>\n<li>Sustaining funding for collective impact over the long term<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the essential mindset shifts required to accomplish collective impact<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The workshop\u00a0will take place in the beautiful Maritime city, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.novascotia.com\/about-nova-scotia\/regions\/halifax-metro\" target=\"_blank\">Halifax, Nova Scotia<\/a>. Take in your learning\u00a0as you breathe in the sea breezes off the harbour. Spend your nights strolling the historic waterfront, eating fresh fish at cosmopolitan eateries or enjoy the east coast art and live\u00a0music over a couple of drinks at\u00a0Alexander Keith\u2019s original 1820 brewery.
