\u201cMy teaching philosophy is simple: put the needs of learners first.\u201d – Stephen Hill<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Stephen is a strong believer in education. Through education, thoughtfulness and reflection, Stephen aims to help those he teaches realize their greatest potential. Born and raised in Ontario, Stephen is now an associate professor of environmental and resource studies at Trent University, where his work involves understanding policies and actions for preventing climate change. He won the T.H.B. Symons Award for Excellence in Teaching<\/a> in 2011, and he organizes the Trent Temagami Colloquium<\/a>, a long-standing tradition that seeks to examine and experience people\u2019s understanding of\u00a0the land\u00a0<\/em>with a focus on\u00a0the study of Canadian, environmental, and Indigenous issues, through hiking, canoeing and expeditions in Wanapitei.<\/p>\n

Stephen is the academic co-lead for CFICE\u2019s Student Pathways for Community Impacts<\/a>\u00a0Working Group.<\/p>\n
