As our Student Pathways<\/a> working group community co-lead, (and\u00a0Environmental Sustainability hub community co-lead in Phase I), John Marris brings a wealth of research experience to CFICE. He has a PhD in Canadian Studies from Trent University, and in 2014 earned an impressive role as the Trent Community Research Centre Project Coordinator. There, his mission is to address local research needs while providing students with engaging, real research opportunities that further the connections between Trent University and the Peterborough community.<\/p>\n

Outside of his academic work, John volunteers as a youth mentor. He\u2019s also an established local artist with a number of joint and solo photography and painting exhibitions to his credit. John believes \u201cbringing photography and artistic practice into the lives of young people in this community is a vital way of supporting youth social engagement.\u201d<\/p>\n
