The purpose was to deeply engage students in the work of community partners by having them work with and for community partners. The curriculum will include a graduated learning process, starting with <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/cu-glossary\/service-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">service-learning<\/a> experiences in first and second year of undergrad to embedded RAships and research experiences at a Master\u2019s level.<\/p>\n<p>The curriculum mapping process will integrate a focus on <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/cu-glossary\/environmental-sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">environmental sustainability<\/a> and social justice throughout. The purpose will be to incrementally build students\u2019 skills for practicing successful community first CCE.
