{"id":1396,"date":"2013-10-21T14:23:06","date_gmt":"2013-10-21T14:23:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cfice.wordpress.com\/?p=224"},"modified":"2018-03-14T17:00:47","modified_gmt":"2018-03-14T21:00:47","slug":"invitation-to-submit-community-engaged-works-to-ces4health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/2013\/invitation-to-submit-community-engaged-works-to-ces4health\/","title":{"rendered":"Invitation to Submit Community- Engaged Works to CES4Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Submit products of your community-engaged work for peer-reviewed publication and dissemination through CES4Health!<\/p>\n<p>CES4Health publishes diverse products of community-based participatory research and other forms of community-engaged scholarship &#8211; including\u00a0videos, policy briefs, resource guides and online toolkits.\u00a0 Basically, any product in English from anywhere in the world,\u00a0except\u00a0journal manuscripts!<\/p>\n<p>CES4Health has published 60 products\u00a0to date\u00a0&#8212;\u00a0all products of community-engaged scholarship &#8212; and many co-authored by community and academic partners.<\/p>\n<p>Community-based organizations are also finding CES4Health\u00a0to be a valuable outlet for peer-reviewed publication of their community-engaged work, whether involving academic partnerships or not.<\/p>\n<p>CES4Health\u00a0provides wide dissemination of \u00a0high quality products that can improve the health of communities\u00a0and\u00a0&#8220;count&#8221; in the faculty promotion and tenure process.\u00a0 Every product submitted is peer reviewed\u00a0by community and academic experts. \u00a0If it&#8217;s published, the Editor sends an email about the publication and the rigorous peer review process to people that authors identify, such as deans, department chairs and supervisors.<\/p>\n<p>CES4Health\u00a0also tracks how many times a product is downloaded\u00a0and can follow-up with users to find out how it was used\u00a0&#8211; important data that can be\u00a0included in promotion and tenure dossiers and grant proposals.\u00a0 I should also mention that CES4Health does not retain copyright for any of the products it publishes.<\/p>\n<p>Visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/CES4Health.info\">http:\/\/CES4Health.info<\/a>\u00a0to submit products, search for products and apply to be\u00a0a reviewer.\u00a0 Follow the latest CES4Health news on twitter at <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/CES4Health\">http:\/\/twitter.com\/CES4Health<\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Submit products of your community-engaged work for peer-reviewed publication and dissemination through CES4Health!
