Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement (CFICE) and Food Secure Canada (FSC)\u00a0are seeking a research consultant for a 6 month contract (February – July 2016) to conduct a background study and environmental scan of\u00a0community-driven knowledge brokering models and community-campus partnership tools as\u00a0part of CFICE\u2019s phase II<\/a> development.<\/p>\n

Funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), CFICE\u00a0is an action research project with an overall goal to strengthen the ability of Canadian nonprofits,
\nuniversities, colleges and funding agencies to build more successful, innovative, resilient\u00a0and prosperous communities. CFICE\u2019s primary research question is: How can community-campus\u00a0engagement (CCE) be designed and implemented in ways that maximize the value\u00a0created for non-profit community-based organizations (including Indigenous Communities)?<\/em>\u00a0After 3 years of research, we are preparing for Phase II<\/a> of the project (2016-2019). This phase\u00a0will focus on mobilizing the knowledge and findings, with the goal of changing CCE policies,\u00a0practices, along with the existing systems of post-secondary institutions (PSIs), funders, and\u00a0community organizations. As part of the preparation for this work, we are seeking a researcher\u00a0to gather background information and to support planning.<\/p>\n
