He is now moving into a co-lead position as the community co-lead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/cross-sector-work\/cce-brokering\/\">CCE Brokering working group<\/a>&#8216;s Ottawa table. Jason, who is the Executive Director of OETN, has been working with small Canadian businesses, non-profits and community-based organizations for the past sixteen years. He has a passion for helping organizations make better use of their existing resources and in 2012, he helped start Hidden Harvest Ottawa \u2013 a social enterprise \u2013 with the intent of helping Ottawa become a food-tree friendly city.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/people\/adje-van-de-sande\/\">Adje van de Sande<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-4359\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/wp-content\/uploads\/Adje-Van-de-Sande-photo-200x200.jpg\" alt=\"Portrait of Adje van de Sande, Academic Co-lead of CFICE's Community-Based Organization Tools working group.\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/wp-content\/uploads\/Adje-Van-de-Sande-photo-200x200.jpg 200w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/wp-content\/uploads\/Adje-Van-de-Sande-photo-200x200-160x160.jpg 160w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Dr. van de Sande joins CFICE as the academic co-lead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/cross-sector-work\/partnership-tools\/\">Community-Based Organization Tools working group<\/a>. He is an Associate Professor at the School of Social Work at Carleton University. Diana is the executive director for Food Secure Canada. At Food Secure Canada, she\u00a0coordinates the New Farmer Initiative. She also teaches Sociology at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa. With a background in Global Development Studies and Labour Studies, she recently completed her PhD in Sociology with a Specialization in Political Economy at Carleton University. Maeve works with the University of Victoria and other campuses and multi-sector groups on community-based research, capacity-building\u00a0and partnership projects focused on sustainability, student and community\u00a0engagement and empowerment, institutional accountability, and public policy. Dr.\u00a0Fontan is a Ph.D. Professor of sociology at Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al (UQAM) and director of the Incubateur universitaire Parole d\u2019excluEs (IUPE). He is an active research member of the Centre de recherche sur les innovations sociales (CRISES), a Qu\u00e9bec research consortium dedicated to the study of social innovation and societal transformation. As director of the social innovation collection of the Presses de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec, he promotes the publication of a variety of studies on social innovation. During this time, he worked as Assistant Deputy Minister of the Rural Secretariat (2008-13) and as Assistant Deputy Minister of the Office of Public Engagement (2013-16). In addition to his roles in government, Bruce has also been an avid contributor to the non-profit sector. He has has worked or volunteered internationally in South Africa, Namibia, Malawi, Togo, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Indonesia and Costa Rica.
