On October 7, 2016, B!ke Peterborough<\/a> and GreenUP Peterborough<\/a> organized a day long Community Conversation informed by the work of the CFICE and Trent supported Active Neighbourhoods Canada (ANC) Stewart Street Neighbourhood Project in Peterborough (Ptbo), ON.<\/p>\n

Members of this project led by GreenUP and supported by the City of Peterborough, Nourish Peterborough, B!ke Peterborough, CFICE, Trent faculty, and the Trent Community Research Centre provided information and engaged in conversations with the public about the proposals for Bethune Complete Streets (complete redesign of Bethune Street in downtown Peterborough). The creation of Bethune Complete Streets will create greater opportunities for active transportation, community gatherings for recreational, local artisan and farmers\u2019 markets, and art exhibits. The ANC Stewart Street Neighbourhood Ptbo Project<\/a> provided input into the development of Bethune Complete Streets where previously input from the Stewart Street neighbourhood had not been possible on the scale made possible by the project.<\/p>\n
