The Community Academic Collaborative <\/a>is a network of academics and food actors\u00a0(non-profits, community organizers, farmers and more) who are all working and thinking together about how to improve the collaborative research we do together, so that it serves the interests of our communities and contributes to advancing the food systems we want.<\/p>\n

This network emerged out of\u00a0CFICE<\/a>\u00a0(Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement Project – a SSHRC funded project), a collaborative project between Carleton University, Food Secure Canada and many community partners. Between 2012-2019, we will be conducting evaluations of community based research to better understand what makes research work best for communities.<\/p>\n
