{"id":7931,"date":"2018-10-05T08:00:20","date_gmt":"2018-10-05T12:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/?p=7931"},"modified":"2018-10-02T15:49:55","modified_gmt":"2018-10-02T19:49:55","slug":"video-sneak-preview-of-our-research-toolkit-for-community-based-organizations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/2018\/video-sneak-preview-of-our-research-toolkit-for-community-based-organizations\/","title":{"rendered":"Video: Sneak preview of our Research Toolkit for Community Based Organizations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement (CFICE) project, Tara McWhinney, PhD Student and Research Assistant with the Centre for Studies on Poverty and Social Citizenship (CSPSC), has helped develop a Research Toolkit for Community Based Organizations (<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/communityfirst\/2018\/developing-a-toolkit-for-community-based-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">learn more about the Toolkit<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Developed by the CFICE Tools Working Group, this project development checklist toolkit helps community organizations assess whether they are well suited to a community-campus engagement project and how they can best prepare themselves to start a research project with an academic partner.<\/p>\n<p>In the following video, Tara shares some of the details of this toolkit, which is being developed as a bilingual interactive website tool for release in late November.
