The role of the Confucius Institute Steering Committee at Carleton University is:

  • To provide input on proposals for courses, events and activities related to the National Capital Confucius Institute
  • To discuss new ideas and initiatives
  • To identify resources available on campus and in the community that can be used to advance the mission of the Institute
  • To establish and maintain professional networks that can benefit the Institute
  • To promote the Institute and its activities across the campus
  • In all of the above, to work to ensure the success of an interdisciplinary approach to program development and delivery
