The graduate diploma in Health: Science, Technology and Policy<\/a> addresses a growing need for qualified personnel in health related fields with backgrounds in health policy and knowledge mobilization.<\/p>\n

The Department of Health Sciences offers two related HSTP diplomas:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diploma for professional development
\n<\/strong>For individuals working or intending to work in the health sector. This diploma allows students to develop skills in knowledge mobilization. Flexibility in the program also allows students to take other health-related courses in areas of personal interest and to meet the career goals of each student.<\/p>\n

Diploma for current Carleton students
\n<\/strong>Students registered in various graduate programs at Carleton can take courses in health-related research methods, policy and knowledge mobilization. Additional health courses can be taken to complement a student’s primary degree and provide additional expertise and credentials.<\/p>\n

\nThere are vast opportunities for networking and employment in the health sector in Ottawa. The national capital is home to many public sector and non-government agencies, including the Canadian Institute for Health Information, the Canadian Medical Association, Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada, as well as hospitals and a range of community organizations.<\/p>\n
