Time and Location
Spring and fall convocations take place on campus in the Fieldhouse. Spring Convocation is in June and Fall Convocation is in November. The dates for upcoming convocations may be found at: http://carleton.ca/senate/meeting-dates/convocations/. Two ceremonies are held each day at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. respectively.

Faculty Robing Room
The Faculty robing area is located in the Ravens’ Nest. Seating and academic regalia services are available for those participating in the academic procession. Hoods and gowns will be available from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day of Convocation.
Assembly of the Academic Procession
Those taking part in the academic procession should gather in the faculty robing area by 8:45 a.m. for the morning ceremony and 1:15 p.m. for the afternoon ceremony.
Faculty who have ordered academic regalia may obtain their hoods and gowns in the Norm Fenn Gym (the old gym) up to 5 p.m. on the day before a ceremony. On the day of the ceremony, pick up gowns from the robing room in the Ravens’ Nest.
NOTE: Borrowed hoods and gowns are to be returned to the Ravens’ Nest Gown Drop-off areas immediately following the ceremony.
