CSPC is excited to announce the annual Science Policy Awards of Excellence and the addition of new awards.
The CSPC Science Policy Award of Excellence – Youth Category recognizes a young individual (student, postdoc, researcher, entrepreneur, knowledge keeper, practitioner, etc.) under the age of 35 who proposes an innovative and compelling evidence-based policy that will make a positive difference to Canadians. This award is designed to highlight innovative, evidence-driven policy ideas and is open to candidates in all disciplines and sectors. See here for further details.
The CSPC Trailblazer Awards recognize individuals who have demonstrated novelty and creativity through leadership, vision, courage, and commitment to the overall advancement of the science and innovation policy ecosystem. These individuals have been instrumental in the Canadian policy ecosystem by boldly spearheading change via one or more transformative initiatives, all while blazing a trail and inspiring others to follow. CSPC 2021 will present two Trailblazer Awards, one in each of the categories of Science Policy and Innovation Policy. See here for further details.
Lifetime Achievement Award:
The CSPC Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to science and innovation policy, and who throughout their career has championed and inspired the science and innovation policy community in Canada. This individual has made an outstanding impact on science and innovation policy in Canada.
The recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award will be selected by the CSPC Board of Directors. If you would like to recommend an individual to be considered, please contact email@example.com. All recommended names will be submitted to the CSPC Board of Directors.
