CIHR Project Grant 2017 Fall Competition Update

Previously, CIHR has announced that the registration deadline of their Fall 2017 Project Grant Competition has been moved to May 30, 2017. However, the agency has decided to further delay it to August 15, 2017. All the same, the full application deadline remains due on September 15, 2017.

To help improve the competition, the following changes have been made for that of the Fall 2017 Project Grants:

The grant applications will be received by face-to-face panels, with no online or other prior evaluations
Applicants will be asked to choose the panel most relevant to their research
Reviewers will be recruited for a single panel
The Project Grant application form has changed only slightly
All health-related applications, including multidisciplinary applications, are welcome

The first facilitated Online Session will be held on. Click here for the full list of webinars and links to register for them.

NSERC Discovery Grant Workshop

The faculty of Engineering and Design, the faculty of Science, along with CORIS will be hosting a Discovery Grant Workshop which will include:

A brief overview of the evaluation process
The components of the application with recommendations on how to prepare a winning application
Q&A with a panel of past and present NSERC Evaluation Committee members.
