Early Researcher Awards – These highly competitive awards are open to all disciplines, and are for faculty no more than 5 years from having started their academic research career and no more than 10 years from conferral of their PhD. To be competitive, researchers are encouraged to be actively involved in conducting research that has been supported by peer-reviewed funding and to demonstrate academic independence from previous supervisors. More information on ERAs
Please note, candidates put forward for this competition by the University are selected in advance through an internal review process by the Carleton University Prizes and Awards Committee (CUPAC) in conjunction with Associate Deans (Research) from each Faculty. Please note, the internal selection process for this year’s ERA competition has been completed. Researchers interested in pursuing an ERA for a future round are welcome to attend and also encouraged to speak with their Associate Dean Research and their Faculty Research Facilitator.
