Location:1200 Richcraft Hall

Further to the 2018-19 Federal Budget, NSERC is consolidating six of its major research partnerships funding programs into a single program called Alliance Grants. These changes open new opportunities for NSERC-eligible University researchers, allowing projects with a broader range of external partners and at  highly advantageous rates of leveraged funding. Certain applications seeking funding of $150K or more per year from NSERC, researchers may apply to the Alliance Grants Program starting May, 21st, 2019.

Further Details of Alliance Grant Program:

The NSERC Alliance Grant program includes two streams, with “Option 1” grants providing moderate leveraging of Partner cash contributions and “Option 2” grants providing the highest leveraging of Partner cash contributions.

  1. NSERC Alliance “Option 1” Grant Applications

–          Grant applications seeking $20K to $1 million per year in contributions from NSERC based on 1:3 or 1:2 cash contribution from eligible Partners

–          0% or 10% cash contributions required from eligible Partners is determined by NSERC based on their classification of Partner “Size” and “Type of partnership”  (ref: http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/Innovate-Innover/alliance-alliance/funding-financement_eng.asp#option1).
