Keith Acheson is a professor in the Economics Department at Carleton University. His research interests include the economics of organization; cultural economics, broadcast and film analysis and policy; economics of the distributive trades; and economic regulation. His recent publications include, “No Bite, No Bark: The mystery of magazine policy” American Review of Canadian Studies, Autumn 2001 (with C. J. Maule), “Disciplined stories in the governance of the New Institutional Economics” Journal of Economic Methodology December 2000 7(3) and “Much Ado about Culture: North American trade disputes” Ann Arbor: University of Michigan Press. 1999 (with C.
