We recommend that students return to Ottawa for Fall 2021, recognizing that medical reasons or travel restrictions may limit the ability of some students to do so.
We anticipate an even more significant return to campus and in-person learning for Winter 2022, depending on public health guidelines and regulations.
Registration begins on June 28, 2021, for new first-year students based on pre-assigned time tickets. Registration for returning students begins on July 5, 2021, based on pre-assigned time tickets. For more information on registration, visit the registration website.
Your exact time-ticket will be available on Carleton Central approximately one week preceding the registration time period. It is always advisable to register when your time-ticket opens to ensure the best chance of getting the courses you would like; however, registration remains open until the posted deadline.

The Fall 2021 course schedule will include a combination of in-person and online course delivery types to provide flexibility for students. Course delivery types will appear in the “Section Information” listing in Carleton Central. Descriptions of each course delivery type are available on the Registrar’s Office website.
Carleton’s dedicated faculty and staff are currently preparing departmental and service spaces to welcome students back to campus in September. Academic departments and student service offices will be offering services to students both in-person and remotely. More information will be provided closer to September.
