Whether you call Ottawa home, you’re currently living across Canada or even around the world, the Mental Health and Well-Being website has been updated to provide you with a directory of support services and resources to help you prioritize your mental health and find the help you need. In order to promote the health and safety of our Carleton community in the winter 2022 term, Carleton University’s Health and Counselling Service will remain open. Please call the clinic to book an appointment. Campus Safety Services remains operational 24/7. In case of an emergency, please call 4444 from any on-campus phone or 613-520-4444 from your cell phone. If it is not an emergency, please call 613-520-3612.
If you are feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed there is always someone you can talk to. Carleton University undergraduate students have access to free, confidential, 24/7 counselling services in the community through Empower Me. Empower Me support is available in person, by telephone, video-counselling or e-counselling.
The service allows you to connect with qualified counsellors, consultants and life coaches at their private practice in the community 24/7, 365 days per year – for free.

Studying remotely from outside of Canada as an international student can bring unforeseen stress and strain. Carleton is pleased to offer International SOS’s Emotional Support service to help you support your mental, emotional and physical well-being. Emotional Support offers 24/7 access to counselling services in more than 60 languages.

BounceBack® is a free skill-building program managed by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). It is designed to help adults and youth 15+ manage low mood, mild to moderate depression and anxiety, stress or worry.
