Health and Counselling Services

Carleton University’s Health and Counselling Services remains open virtually and Campus Safety Services remains operational 24/7. In case of an emergency, please call 4444 from any on-campus phone or 613-520-4444 from your cell phone. If it is not an emergency, please call 613-520-3612.

Empower Me Counselling – 1-844-741-6389 (toll-free)

If you are feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed there is always someone you can talk to. Carleton University undergraduate students have access to free, confidential, 24/7 counselling services in the community through Empower Me. Empower Me support is available in person, by telephone, video-counselling or e-counselling.

The service allows you to connect with qualified counsellors, consultants and life coaches at their private practice in the community 24/7, 365 days per year – for free.

International Students

International SOS: Emotional Support

Studying remotely from outside of Canada as an international student can bring unforeseen stress and strain. Carleton is pleased to offer International SOS’s Emotional Support service to help you support your mental, emotional and physical well-being. Emotional Support offers 24/7 access to counselling services in more than 60 languages.

BounceBack®

BounceBack® is a free skill-building program managed by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). It is designed to help adults and youth 15+ manage low mood, mild to moderate depression and anxiety, stress or worry. Delivered over the phone with a coach and through online videos, you will get access to tools that will support you on your path to mental wellness. Visit bouncebackontario.ca for more information.
