Submission Instructions

  • This competition is open to all Carleton University Students  (full or part-time)
  • Students may submit one fiction piece (1500 words maximum)
  • The writing submission should have only its title and not your name.  Personal contact information should be entered in a separate tab on the submission platform.
  • Deadline: 4pm, Friday, February 15, 2019

Competition Judge

Rhonda Douglas: This Ottawa-based writer with an MFA from UBC is the author of Welcome to the Circus (Freehand Books, 2015) and Some Days I Think I Know Things: The Cassandra Poems (Signature Editions, 2008). Her writing has won awards from The Malahat Review, Arc Poetry Magazine, Prairie Fire, and Room Magazine. Her work has also been published in The Fiddlehead, The Antigonish Review, Exile: The Literary Quarterly, and The New Quarterly.

All winners will be invited to read from their winning pieces at the Spring Extravaganza of Literary and Dramatic Arts
