Research Grant 2025\n                    <\/h1>\n                \n                                \n                            <\/header>\n\n                    <\/div>\n\n            <\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"about-criw-ignite\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">About CRIW Ignite!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CRIW Ignite! is an annual research grant program funded by the Centre for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW). This grant is designed to advance workplace inclusion by supporting collaborative research projects that align with the Centre\u2019s mission of supporting, conducting and sharing scholarship advancing equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI). All workplace inclusion research topics are welcome. However, of particular interest are research projects exploring barriers to employment and organizational inclusion for such populations as Black, Indigenous and people of colour (BIPOC), immigrants, women, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ2+ and youth. In 2025, the grant program makes up to CAD $22,500 available to fund up to three (3) research projects (<strong>maximum value per project $7,500<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> Extended to February 24, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Award date:<\/strong> March 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who should apply:<\/strong> Any Carleton University faculty, postdoctoral, or graduate student, as long as one member of the research team is a faculty member at the Sprott School of Business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"eligibility\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for funding, applications must meet the following objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Include at least one (1) faculty member at the Sprott School of Business<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a faculty member from Carleton who is the PI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage at least one (1) graduate or undergraduate student in the project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce a tangible outcome at the end of 18 months, including but not limited to: a grant proposal, a working paper, a case study, a peer-reviewed publication or a knowledge mobilization initiative<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring about practical advances in the area of inclusion at work.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"submission-guidelines\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for a CRIW Ignite! research grant, please submit a project proposal with the subject line \u201c2025 CRIW Ignite! research grant\u201d to criw@carleton.ca by EOD on February 10th, 2025, containing the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2-page project summary, including project description, objectives, start date and duration, methodology, and knowledge mobilization plan (if appropriate)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>list of research team and partners, discussing expertise and complementarity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>role of student(s) and outcomes of project participation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>detailed budget justification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>deliverables and milestones<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bibliographic references<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a copy of all researchers\u2019 CVs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a description (max. 90 words) of the research project for placement in the recipient\u2019s announcement (see a CRIW Ignite! <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/criw\/2021\/criw-funds-literature-reviews-examining-equity-diversity-and-inclusion-in-the-workplace\/\">announcement<\/a> for examples)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"policies\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Policies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grant recipients are expected to contribute to CRIW\u2019s knowledge-sharing efforts by providing project information for placement on CRIW\u2019s website and use in other outreach initiatives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Within 12 months of receiving the grant, awardees must share (preliminary) findings at a CRIW research event (e.g, the Annual Conference)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A researcher cannot be a Principal Investigator on two grants but can be a collaborator in more than one grant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CRIW\u2019s support should be acknowledged in any publications stemming from work supported by this grant, and a copy of the publication(s) should be provided for CRIW\u2019s records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By being awarded a CRIW Ignite!
