The Centre recently broadened its mission to conducting and sharing research that advances <strong>diversity, equity and inclusion at work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No longer focusing only on women, CRIW\u2019s research focus is on the inclusion of under-represented populations at work, including women, immigrants, visible minorities, and indigenous individuals, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CRIW co-directors, <a href=\"https:\/\/sprott.carleton.ca\/profile\/merridee-bujaki\/\">Dr. Merridee Bujaki<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sprott.carleton.ca\/profile\/luciara-nardon\/\">Dr. Luciara Nardon<\/a>, commented on the change. \u201cWe wanted to not only be more inclusive of current conceptualizations of gender, but also continue to expand knowledge around participation at work,\u201d commented Dr. Bujaki. \u201cAfter extensive consultations, expanding our research scope to inclusion of under-represented populations at work seemed like a natural evolution of our mission.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited about the change,\u201d added Dr. Nardon. \u201cWe are actively building a network of scholars, Sprott graduate students and the broader community to pursue a broad range of research interests and seek innovative solutions towards more inclusive workplaces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Details on CRIWs areas of research and how to get involved can be found at the centre\u2019s website, <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/criw\">carleton.ca\/criw<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>-30-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Centre for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW)<br>\n<\/strong>The Centre for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW) is a research centre at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sprott.carleton.ca\/\">Sprott School of Business<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/\">Carleton University<\/a>, focused on conducting and sharing&nbsp;research that advances diversity, equity and inclusion at work.&nbsp;By making research findings available to the public and connecting academia with the broader community, CRIW aims to advance knowledge and drive change towards more inclusive workplaces that welcome and support greater participation of all peoples.
