\n CRIW Provides Funding to Support Research on the Impact of the COVID-19 Response on Workplace Inclusion\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

The COVID-19 pandemic has made traditionally underrepresented groups within the workplace even more vulnerable and made the impact of social inequalities more visible. In response to the present circumstances, the Centre for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW) is issuing a new research grant to fund research addressing inclusion in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CRIW Ignite! COVID-19 Special Funding<\/a> is a supplement to CRIW Ignite! Research Grant. It provides up to $5,000 to fund up to four research projects examining the impact of the COVID-19 response on workplace inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Measures such as physical distancing, working from home, not working, etc., are having implications for inclusion at work or may have implications in the future. To help ensure that the needs of vulnerable populations are understood and taken into consideration by employers and policy makers on all levels of government, CRIW is supporting research initiatives that explore the impact of the COVID-19 response on workplace inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CRIW Co-Directors Dr. Luciara Nardon and Dr. Merridee Bujaki think workplace-inclusion researchers have an important role to play in responding to COVID-19. They said:<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cBy supporting research on the impact of the COVID-19 response on workplace inclusion we hope to ensure that the importance of workplace inclusion \u2013 in all its forms \u2013 is at the forefront as responses to COVID-19 continue to evolve.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
