Starting July 1, 2022, Dr. Dionisi will be sharing CRIW\u2019s governance responsibilities along with Directors, Dr. Andrew Webb and Dr. Luciara Nardon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignnone wp-image-4348 size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/criw\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/135\/Carleton79598-sm-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4348\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Dr. Angela Dionisi, faculty member of Carleton University\u2019s Sprott School of Business and Incoming Director at the Centre for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Dionisi is an Associate Professor of Management at Carleton University\u2019s Sprott School of Business. A long-time research affiliate to CRIW, Dr. Dionisi\u2019s research interests focus on both workplace mistreatment and leadership. Her body of work mainly explores the impact of workplace sexual harassment on targets, and those with close relationships to them. She is particularly concerned with how negative workplace dynamics may uniquely affect historically underserved groups. Most recently, she has been expanding her research area to examine workplace mistreatment encountered by individuals living with disabilities. Her ultimate goal is to help foster healthier, more inclusive workplace environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Dionisi is pleased to be joining CRIW\u2019s governance team. \u201cCRIW fulfills an important role in supporting and nurturing researchers that are working towards creating more inclusive workplaces,\u201d she said. \u201cI am honoured to be accepting this position, and wholeheartedly welcome the opportunity to contribute to CRIW\u2019s valuable mission.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Dionisi seeks to continue CRIW\u2019s efforts in fostering a sense of community among those studying issues pertinent to workplace inclusion. She looks forward to encouraging more students and emerging scholars to get involved in workplace inclusion research. Additionally, Dr. Dionisi is eager to engage with the community. She said, \u201cI think there is an opportunity for academia to be an agent of change, both by influencing policies and practices affecting equity and inclusion at work, and by connecting with community members themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CRIW Directors, Dr. Nardon and Dr. Webb welcome Dr. Dionisi to CRIW\u2019s governance team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Webb praised Dr. Dionisi\u2019s commitment to workplace inclusion. \u201cAngela is a highly respected scholar in organizational behaviour and is passionate about creating workplace environments that foster employee well-being,\u201d he said. \u201cI think she will contribute greatly to CRIW\u2019s work.\u201d Dr. Nardon agrees. \u201cAngela has been an avid supporter of CRIW,\u201d she said. \u201cI am happy she accepted the role to steer the direction of CRIW\u2019s efforts in the upcoming years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Find more about Dr. Dionisi\u2019s work <a href=\"https:\/\/sprott.carleton.ca\/profile\/angela-dionisi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.
