The Centre for Student Academic Support offers workshops and one-on-one sessions on a variety of topics (see below) that promote skill development for students at all academic levels. Each session is designed to offer students useful tips and strategies to improve their study habits and develop skills that are useful both inside and outside of the classroom.

Can’t make it to campus? CSAS provides online interactive workshops for all students to engage in learning — anywhere and anytime. These workshops include a series of activities that identify personal areas for skills development and encourage students’ active involvement in learning and applying new study skills to their courses. If you’re part of the Incentive Program, these online workshops will count for credit (unless otherwise stated by your Professor, please check your syllabus for more information).

About Learning Support Workshops

Workshops are approximately 50 minutes long and are facilitated by CSAS Peer Learning Assistants in room 402 MacOdrum Library. Workshops are all drop in, so no registration is required. Please note that students more than 10 minutes late will not allowed to participate. Please bring your Student Card or other piece of Student ID when attending a workshop.

The Learning Support Workshop Calendar can be located on mySuccess, or scroll down to see upcoming Workshops!

The Learning Support Workshops for summer term are only available by request (email CSAS@carleton.ca) or via online workshops through the CSAS online learning community.

Bullet Journaling Method Workshop:

Tuesday July 16, 2019 from 3:05 to 4:05 pm in Room 402 MacOdrum Library

Come to the workshop to find out more about The Bullet Journal Method! The Bullet Journal Method is a planner and rapid journaling system for prioritizing goals and increasing productivity. Never heard of bullet journaling or you’re a bullet journaling pro? Caught glimpses of bullet journaling on Instagram? Watched a YouTube video of it? Whatever your level of experience, this workshop will provide an introduction to bullet journaling, and an opportunity for you to try out the method. You will be able to evaluate if it’s a useful tool that will help you prioritize your tasks, and be more productive and organized in school and life. Writing materials and pads of paper will be provided but please bring your own journal to start your own!
