CSAS Learning and Writing Certificates aim to enhance student learning in an academic environment. The certificates are designed to serve as academic support tools and resources for students, as well as course instructors, to include in their courses. The certificates provide students with the necessary study and academic knowledge and skills to succeed in their post-secondary education at Carleton and beyond. Our certificates include a variety of online learning and writing workshops that are interactive and evidence-based.

Each certificate is also eligible for students’ Co-Curricular Record (CCR). The certificates will be approved for CCR eligibility at the end of the Fall and Winter terms, upon the completion of the requirements found below. Please note that you must get 100% on each of the final online workshop assessments and must fulfill all of the requirements within one academic year (September to April).

How can I participate?

Students may self-enrol in the required CSAS workshops on our Online Resources page. Once there, click on the red ‘Enter Our Online Learning Community’ button, which will direct you to self-enrol on cuLearn.

Please note, CSAS webinars are not counted towards the Learning and Writing Certificates.
