The Centre for Security, Intelligence, and Defence Studies<\/h4>\n

The Centre for Security, Intelligence, and Defence Studies (CSIDS) is situated within the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) and serves as the Headquarters of the Canadian Defence and Security Network \u2013 R\u00e9seau Canadien de Securit\u00e9 et Defence (CDSN-RCDS). The Centre\u2019s mandate is to enhance collaboration with academics, the public and private sectors, civil society groups, the media, and the general public in order to foster informed debate and dialogue about Canadian security and defence and to advance the study of key issues in the field of [security], [intelligence], and [defence.] In order to achieve this mandate, CSIDS has four inter-connected goals: 1. Supporting and encouraging interdisciplinary research at Carleton in salient issues in security, intelligence and defence; 2. Hosting of visiting scholars and research fellows pursuing research; 3. Supporting the graduate education and training of students at the Masters and Doctoral levels; 4. Organizing and hosting conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops, and guest lectures on topics relating to security, intelligence, and defence.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

Please note:<\/span><\/strong> CSIDS is not a degree\/certificate granting research centre. If you are interested in pursuing a Master’s or Doctoral degree in security, intelligence, and defence studies please visit http:\/\/carleton.ca\/npsia and following the appropriate application procedures. The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs<\/h4>\n

The Centre for Security, Intelligence and\u00a0Defence Studies is situated within Carleton University\u2019s Norman Paterson School of International Affairs. CSIDS is a centre of excellence specializing in intelligence, security and defence\u00a0studies and is an integral component of what is the leading international affairs graduate school in Canada. In support of the Norman Paterson School, CSIDS promotes cross-disciplinary teaching and offers an intellectual forum for faculty, staff, and students, enhancing the educational experience of its graduate students. In tandem with the School, CSIDS also provides dedicated training workshops to the broader community of intelligence and security practitioners, including within the private sector.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
