It requires one credit (CYBR5000) in cybersecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"timelines-and-schedules\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Timelines and Schedules<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Typically, students will take:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ITEC5001 [0.0 credit] Information Technology Seminar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ITEC5909 [2.5 credits] Master&#8217;s Thesis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.5 credits in core courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.0 credits in electives at 5000-level, chosen in consultation with your graduate supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The coursework is generally done in university. The rest depends on students and their research supervisor. Keep in mind that a 2-year program completion assumes full-time status. The Master&#8217;s thesis is a research thesis that typically takes 3 terms to complete.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"m-a-sc-networking-technology-with-collaborative-specialization-in-cybersecurity-5-0-credits\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">M.A.Sc. Since almost every home and business relies on the Internet, MNET graduates will find many opportunities to use their skills in the job market as&nbsp;<strong>systems administrators<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>network architects and engineers<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>cybersecurity specialists<\/strong>. The advances in mobile technologies, networked automobiles, and the Internet of Things, and all of the requirements for security and privacy these technologies need affords new and exciting additional opportunities for these graduates.
