What is now commonplace was once a breakthrough.<\/p>\n\n\n                            <\/header>\n        <\/div>\n\n            <\/div>\n\n    \n\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"bachelor-of-information-technology-programs\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bachelor of Information Technology Programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a student in one of the Bachelor of Information Technology programs, you will acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to address the IT issues of today and the possibilities of tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) offers four distinct programs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bitdegree.ca\/index.php?Program=IRM\">Information Resource Management (IRM)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bitdegree.ca\/index.php?Program=IMD\">Interactive Multimedia and Design (IMD)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bitdegree.ca\/index.php?Program=NET\">Network Technology (NET)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bitdegree.ca\/index.php?Program=OSS\">Optical Systems &amp; Sensors (OSS)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These programs are offered jointly by Carleton\u2019s School of Information Technology and Algonquin College\u2019s schools of Health and Community Studies (for IRM), Media and Design (for IMD), and Advanced Technology (for NET and OSS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will graduate with a Bachelor of Information Technology degree from Carleton University and one of a Library and Information Technician diploma (for IRM students), a Diploma of Applied Arts (for IMD students), an Advanced Diploma in Technology (for NET students) or an Advanced Diploma in Photonics and Laser Technology (for OSS students) from Algonquin College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"bachelor-of-media-production-and-design-program\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bachelor of Media Production and Design Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A new space is opening where media, information, public engagement and design intersect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizations \u2013 from those in the voluntary and not-for-profit sectors to corporations and governments \u2013 want to tell their stories online to engage audiences and explain complex issues.
