You don’t have to go into debt to study at the graduate level! There are many opportunities for funding your graduate work at the Carleton School of IT, whether you are a domestic or international student, studying at Masters or PhD level. These are just a few. Please note that not all of these are available to all students\u2014please see the links provided for further information on whether or not you may be eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduate programs at CSIT offer generous financial support packages. For domestic students in thesis programs, financial support exists in the form of scholarships (largely based on GPA), teaching assistantships (TA), and research assistantships (provided by the research supervisor, depending on availability of project funding). Depending on GPA and research funding available, it is typical to make about 15-25K per year through these avenues, although more is possible too depending on the degree level or if you have external funding (e.g. scholarships, awards).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domestic students in the course-based networking program may receive financial assistance in the form of scholarship (based on GPA mainly) and a teaching assistantship (TA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International students may receive research assistantships from the research supervisor, and depending on GPA and availability of funds, may also receive a teaching assistantship. International doctoral students may also qualify for the Carleton International Doctoral Tuition Support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funding is also available in the form of teaching\/research assistantships and scholarships based on academic excellence. We encourage students to apply for awards such as: the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS), and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
