Alternatively, a Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related field plus relevant work experience in lieu of a graduate degree will be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of the course subject matter is required; previous teaching experience in the subject area is not required but is considered an asset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"application-process\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Process:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In accordance with Article 15.3 of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/CUPE-4600-2-19-22-final.pdf\">CUPE 4600-2 Collective Agreement<\/a>, applications must include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An up-to-date CV, including educational background, employment history, and related work experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A complete listing of all courses taught within the CUPE 4600 (Unit 2) bargaining unit at Carleton University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A cover letter describing their expertise in the relevant course subject matter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence of teaching competence through past teaching evaluations from Carleton or other institutions (if applicable).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact information of two references.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A completed&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/deputyprovost\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2025\/05\/Contract-Instructor-Application-Form.pdf\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/deputyprovost\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2025\/05\/Contract-Instructor-Application-Form.pdf\">Contract Instructors Application form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Please submit all application materials electronically as a PDF to the attention of:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Director<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>c\/o Caitlyn McKenzie, School Administrator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carleton School of Information Technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"mailto:caitlyn.mckenzie@carleton.ca\">caitlyn.mckenzie@carleton.ca<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"application-deadline\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Deadline:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Review of applications will begin March 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 2026 to receive full consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"remuneration\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remuneration:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The current stipend for contract instructors can be found in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/CUPE-4600-2-19-22-final.pdf\">CUPE 4600-2 Collective Agreement, Article 22.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"a-note-to-all-applicants\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">A note to all applicants:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Per Articles 16.3 and 16.4 in the CUPE 4600-2 Collective Agreement, the posted vacancies listed above are offered first to applicants with incumbency. The University may require that all or part of these courses be delivered remotely, including online.
