On Friday, December 5, 2025, a public event was held on Carleton\u2019s campus, where students of IMD 4006: Advanced Game Design & Development showcased their final projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the event, we hosted a guest talk by Vitalii Boiko, founder of Pixela Labs, an entertainment production company behind several virtual-production workflows used across games, film, enterprise applications, and large-scale digital-twin systems. In his talk, Vitalii shared insights into the development process and production pipelines behind their upcoming tactical game DDoD. The talk focused on the current state of generative AI, its impact on every stage and highlighted its real limitations in today\u2019s game-development workflows, encouraging students to critically reflect on how a real game production process actually works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
