\n Carleton Teams Present Collaborative Projects with Na-Cho Ny\u00e4k Dun First Nation\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, February 26th, Dr. Ali Arya, Dr. Omair Shafiq, and their students from Carleton School of Information Technology, along with colleagues and students from Sprott School of Business and the School of Linguistics and Language Studies, showcased<\/a> <\/a>their projects done in collaboration with\u00a0the First Nation of Na-Cho Ny\u00e4k Dun (NND)<\/a>\u00a0as part of\u00a0a project, titled, Kw\u00e4n D\u00e9k\u2019\u00e1n\u2019 Do<\/a>\u00a0(\u201cto keep the fire burning,\u201d in the Northern Tutchone language). This project is supported through a partnership with the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages (OCIL)<\/a>\u00a0and aims at language and cultural revitalization using advanced technologies such as AI and VR. The presentations are available on the project website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
