Congratulations to Prof. Ashraf Matrawy<\/a> for receiving the 2026 CSIT Research Achievement Award. Dr. Matrawy is the most senior faculty member at Carleton School of Information Technology (CSIT), who has dedicated a significant amount of time to establishing the School and still managed to develop an impressive research program. He is the recipient of multiple recognitions, such as Carleton University Research Achievement and Graduate Mentorship awards, and many best paper awards. His research has resulted in numerous journal and conference papers, as well as patents and policy contributions. Dr. Matrawy has an extensive record of securing research funding and supervising graduate students, and has been involved in organizing numerous conferences and academic events, as well as other professional activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
