{"id":626,"date":"2018-08-21T16:49:23","date_gmt":"2018-08-21T20:49:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/ctca\/?page_id=626"},"modified":"2026-02-22T16:49:33","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T21:49:33","slug":"trace","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/ctca\/partnerships-special-projects\/trace\/","title":{"rendered":"TrACE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TrACE<\/strong> (Transnational and Transcultural Art and Culture Exchange) is the first transregional consortium dedicated to the study of the arts and culture from critical transnational and transcultural perspectives.<\/p>\n<p>In this first iteration, it brings together academic institutions and research centres spanning three continents &#8211; Asia, Europe, and North America &#8211; to build collaborative networks and infrastructures necessary for research and teaching across disciplinary, cultural, and geographic boundaries. Established out of existing relationships and structures among partner institutions, TrACE intends to reach out to institutions and networks in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East as it develops.<\/p>\n<p>TrACE Consortium members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University of the Arts London (UK)<\/li>\n<li>Carleton University (Canada)<\/li>\n<li>Concordia University (Canada)<\/li>\n<li>University of Montreal (Canada)<\/li>\n<li>University of Quebec in Montreal (Canada)<\/li>\n<li>Heidelberg University (Germany)<\/li>\n<li>University of Amsterdam (Netherlands)<\/li>\n<li>Vrije Universitet Amsterdam (Netherlands)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TrACE&#8217;s inaugural multi-year project is Worlding Public Cultures (WPC) funded by a Social Innovation Grant from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transatlanticplatform.com\/\">Trans-Atlantic Platform for the Social Sciences and Humanities<\/a>.
