In recent speeches, Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland has been calling for a “Progressive Trade Agenda” that supports a more inclusive trade policymaking process to promote the international ambitions of Canadian SMEs and address inequalities at all levels that hold back the ability of women, minorities and the poor to participate fully in, and benefit from, international trade.   From both an African and Canadian perspective, Carleton University’s Centre for Trade Policy and Law (CTPL) and the Institute of African Studies (IAS) invite you to join us for this panel discussion on our latest research on this agenda.
