By editing topic headings, you can change the topic title or add additional materials (text, images, audio, or video) to the topic.  You have the option to quick-edit a topic title without leaving your main cuLearn course page.

To Quick-Edit a Topic Title

  1. Log in to cuLearn using your MyCarletonOne credentials.
  2. Click on your course link.
  3. Click on the pencil icon to the right of a topic name to edit it.                                                     
    NOTE: If you are unable to see the pencil icon, your course editing may be turned off. To turn on course editing, click the settings gear on the top-right side of your course page, and select Turn editing on from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click enter when done.

To Edit a Topic Title and Add Additional Materials

  1. Log in to cuLearn using your MyCarletonOne credentials.
  2. Click on your course link.
  3. Click the edit drop-down menu to the right of the Topic heading. 
  4. Select Edit topic.
  5. On the Summary of Topic page, check the Custom check box.                                                   
  6. Under General, enter the following information:
    • Your desired topic name in the Section name box
    • A Summary of the topic (optional)
    • If you want to add images or videos to your topic, click on the Insert or edit image or insert or edit audio/video icons (see image below)                                                               
  7. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page
NOTE: The topic heading should now appear on your main course page regardless of the course format. If a summary was added, it will appear below the section name on the course page.
