The Navigation Menu helps instructors and students easily navigate cuLearn courses. The menu is located on the left side of cuLearn course pages and can be hidden from view or expanded for use (the default view). A visual of the expanded Navigation Menu is included below.

Why Can’t I See the Navigation Menu?

If you cannot see the navigation menu, you will need to expand it by clicking the hamburger button on the top left side of your course page. The hamburger button    has three horizontal lines and is located to the left of the cuLearn logo.  See examples of expanded and hidden navigation menus below:

Participants

The Participants button links to the course Participants List. From the Participants List, you can view, search, filter, or enrol course participants.

Grades

The Grades button links to the Grader Report (Gradebook). This is where you can add grade items (create columns), enter grades, view course totals and export/import grades.  For more information and instructions on using the cuLearn gradebook, see the Grading pages.

Topics

The Topics buttons link to the various topic blocks on your main course page. Instructors can customize how the topics appear in the navigation menu by selecting a course format and editing the topic names.  For more information on adding, hiding, or deleting topic blocks, see the Blocks page.

Add New Blocks

The Add New Blocks button opens a window where you can select which optional blocks you would like to appear on your course page. Blocks are located on the side of cuLearn course pages and are used to prominently feature useful course information. For more information on adding, hiding, or deleting blocks, see the Blocks page.
