Professor Farago is an Art Historian and Professor Emerita at University of Colorado Boulder specializing in Early Modern art, theory, and criticism, as well as museum and collecting practices. Her talk titled, \u201cDefining an Ecological Approach to Art History: On the History of Human Exceptionalism,\u201d examines and identifies 16<span class=\"s2\">th<\/span> century articulations of humanness that drew upon Aristotelian cognitive distinctions between humans and animals.<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/culturalmediations\/ruth-and-mark-phillips-professorship-in-cultural-mediations\/claire-farago-guest-lecture\/ \u200e\"> For more information&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The lecture will be hosted as an online event and is scheduled for<strong> Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 4:00 pm<\/strong>. A closed session for graduate students to follow.
