Lorena Ruci

About the instructor: Lorena Ruci has been teaching psychology at Carleton University since 2011, after she completed her PhD in personality and social psychology. Her research hopes to enhance our understanding on people's motivations when engaging in prosocial behaviour. For her thesis, she explored the helping motivations of altruists and egoists by looking at their personality traits, and whether those traits predicted people's pro-social behaviour in stressful situations. Lorena loves teaching personality because students approach the subject matter with great enthusiasm and curiosity as it helps them understand themselves and others better.
