Log In<\/h2>\n

There are two ways to log in to cuPortfolio. You can either click on a link in Brightspace that will automatically sign you in or you can log in through the cuPortfolio website with your MC1 credentials.<\/p>\n

Option 1: Log in through the website<\/h3>\n

Note.<\/strong> If you are having issues logging in through the website, use Option 1<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Go to the the cuPortfolio website.<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Click Login.<\/strong>
    \n\"Login<\/li>\n
  3. Enter your MyCarletonOne<\/a> login information and click Sign In<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Option 2: Log in through Brightspace<\/h3>\n

    Note.<\/strong> Your instructor may have already added a cuPortfolio login link to your course Brightspace page that you can use to log in.<\/em><\/p>\n

    1. Click on the cuPortfolio Training Course<\/a> in Discover.<\/li>\n
    2. Click Enroll in Course.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. A pop-up window will appear, click OK.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Click Open Course.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    5. Click cuPortfolio Login<\/strong> in the Visual Table of Contents.<\/li>\n
    6. Click cuPortfolio Login Link. <\/strong>This will open cuPortfolio in a new tab and log you in automatically.
      \nNote.<\/strong> Once you have enrolled in the course you will be able to access the course from your \u2018My Courses\u2019 Widget.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Note.<\/strong> It is recommended to use Google Chrome<\/a> or Mozilla Firefox<\/a> to operate cuPortfolio.<\/em><\/p>\n

      Your Dashboard<\/h2>\n

      The Dashboard<\/strong> page is the landing page when you first login to cuPortfolio. You can navigate to anywhere in your cuPortfolio account through the Dashboard<\/strong> Page or the menu in the top right corner of the page.<\/p>\n

      Your Template<\/h2>\n

      Most courses have a template portfolio prepared for students and you can find yours under the My Portfolios<\/strong> heading on the bottom of your Dashboard<\/strong> page. You can also find your template by clicking on the Create<\/strong> section of the main menu.<\/p>\n

      If your course is not using a templated portfolio, then you can go to the instructions for creating a portfolio\/collection <\/a>to start building your portfolio.

      Note:<\/strong> If you do not know if your course is using a template or not, please ask your instructor.<\/em><\/p>\n

      Adding Content to Your Portfolio<\/h2>\n

      You can add a variety of different kinds of content to your portfolio including text, images, PDF files and external media (media from an online source). To add content to a portfolio, complete the following steps, also detailed in the brief video below:<\/p>\n

      1. Click on your collection title (from your Dashboard page under the ‘My Portfolios’ heading or from the ‘Create’ page).<\/li>\n
      2. Click on the title of the page you want to add content to.<\/li>\n
      3. Click the Edit button (pencil icon) in the top right corner.<\/li>\n
      4. Click and drag the red plus button onto your page.

      5. Select the content type you want to add.<\/li>\n
      6. Configure your content.<\/li>\n
      7. Click Save.<\/strong><\/li>\n
      8. When you are finished adding content to your page and you want to view your page in its collection, click on the ‘display page’ button (monitor icon) on the right side of your page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
