Curriculum Management
CourseLeaf is the software used by Carleton to update and maintain course and program curriculum data. All curriculum changes to the academic calendar are entered into the CourseLeaf platform as early in the cycle as possible. After the initial entry and confirmation, they are pushed into Workflow, where they are reviewed and signed off on by subsequent levels of approval. After receiving final approval, they are brought into the Calendar for publication. Carleton is currently using two CourseLeaf modules:
- CourseLeaf Catalog (CAT) – manages the process of updating and publishing the calendar.
- CourseLeaf Curriculum Information Management (CIM) – manages the process of updating, adding and deactivating courses and programs.
CourseLeaf has been opened to the university community for the 2025/26 curriculum cycle. Refer to the CourseLeaf Opening Memo for full details.
