Collective Kicks Off First Meeting of 2025-2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Decolonial Disability Studies Collective (DDSC) kicked off the academic year with an energizing first meeting, fostering collaboration as members shared knowledge and engaged in collective learning and unlearning to advance decolonial disability studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are pleased to welcome two new members:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rachael Rosenberg, a first-year MA student in Human Rights and Social Justice at Carleton University, Canada.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yash Gupta, a Research Fellow and Doctoral Candidate in the International and Interdisciplinary Research Training Group at the University of Bremen, Germany.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead, DDSC has various upcoming initiatives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The launch of the Global South-CONNECT\u00a0project website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local fieldwork in India, scheduled for October 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ENGAGE Project Knowledge Mobilization Weeks in February 2026, bringing together researchers, activists, and young women and girls with disabilities from the Global South, and
