Administrative Forms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Faculty Affairs Toolkit includes <a href=\"https:\/\/i.carleton.ca\/deputyprovost\/careers\/\">forms for academics<\/a> for career events, including parental leave, cross appointments, joint institutes, honorary ranks, visiting professors as well as those for administrators, including access to systems and requests for Banner IDs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"3-banner\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Banner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three Faculty Banner systems: the Course e-Contract System, Faculty e-Hires System and the (national award-winning!) E-Leaves System. All manuals are available in the Faculty Affairs Toolkit. Approvals are generally under the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/central.carleton.ca\">Faculty Admin<\/a>\u00a0tab (not Faculty Services).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"4-reports\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Reports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can run both individual and collective reports to support decision-making on academic careers for your Academic Unit and <a href=\"https:\/\/i.carleton.ca\/faculty-affairs\/manuals\/\">a full listing of all reports is available<\/a>.&nbsp;For example, the Faculty Profile provides a summary of all data captured in Banner for CUASA academics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"5-confirmationtenure-and-promotion\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Confirmation,Tenure, and Promotion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are pleased to announce that Carleton University has implemented a <strong>new system for confirmation, tenure, and promotion, formally called <a href=\"https:\/\/account.interfolio.com\/\">Interfolio RPT<\/a><\/strong>. &nbsp;Centralized under the Deputy Provost\u2019s office, this system will offer expanded user support and has passed Carleton\u2019s comprehensive assessments for Data Protection Risk which includes a security assessment and a privacy impact assessment. &nbsp;To help you navigate this new system and Carleton\u2019s tenure and promotion process, we have set up a new <a href=\"https:\/\/i.carleton.ca\/deputyprovost\/careers\/confirmation-tenure-and-promotion\/\">Confirmation, Tenure, and Promotion website<\/a> with further details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"6-cucollab\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. cuCollab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/cucollab.carleton.ca\/public\/index.php\">document repository<\/a>&nbsp;includes a history of all career letters issued from the Provost\/Deputy Provost to the academics and postdoctoral fellows in your unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"7-key-dates-and-deadlines\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Key Dates and Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve posted a list of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/i.carleton.ca\/provost\/careers\/key-dates-deadlines\/\">dates<\/a>&nbsp;from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/hr\/labour-relations\/academic-staff-agreements\/\">CU\/CUASA collective agreement<\/a>,&nbsp;which include the requirements for Sabbatical, Confirmation, Tenure, and Promotion and CDIs. Formal announcements from the Provost\/Deputy Provost will also be issued to the community. Talk to your Dean\u2019s office about further directions, workshops, and other resources for these key processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"8-academic-hiring-training\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Academic Hiring Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Committee Chairs and Administrators are invited to attend our monthly <a href=\"https:\/\/i.carleton.ca\/deputyprovost\/academic-hiring\/\">Equitable and Inclusive Academic Hiring Practices workshops<\/a>&nbsp;hosted in partnership with Equity and Inclusive Communities.&nbsp;We are always available to answer questions about our systems and resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"9-more-training\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. More Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Academic Heads are invited to attend the <a href=\"https:\/\/i.carleton.ca\/deputyprovost\/academic-heads-roundtable\/\">Academic Heads Roundtables<\/a> hosted by the Office of the Deputy Provost in partnership with the Office of Quality Initiatives.
