Diverse perspectives to address complex problems in this field are sought. We especially encourage candidates from underrepresented groups in computer science and with demonstrated experience in mentoring such students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Research Areas of Interest: <\/strong>Rapid technological changes continue to increase vulnerabilities in computing and communication networks. The School of Computer Science is particularly interested in candidates whose research explores human-centered security aspects; privacy, surveillance, and censorship; cryptographic software engineering; programming language-based software security and testing; security incident analysis and forensics; blockchain technologies; and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms. The School of Computer Science also welcomes research that occurs at the intersection of these descriptions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tier 1 Chairs are intended for outstanding researchers acknowledged by their peers as world leaders in their field of study. The School of Computer Science is home to prestigious award winners such as the NSERC Arthur B. McDonald Fellowship in Usable Security and Privacy research, and current Canada Research Chairholders in Machine Learning and Authentication and Computer Security.
